FINSIHED POSTER.

i have finally finished my poster.
things i could have done better =
- presentation

presentating to others

i have about 2 sentences left for my poster, and i'm gonna then colour it to make it stand out.
i think that presenting to another class is bad, because we have already done alot of work, and now we have to present it to another class. i was hoping that we would of done something fun for the last period of inquiry.

today

today i'm working on presentation, and putting all my information on a poster.
it's due at the end of period 3, so i have to work a bit faster to get this done.
but i don't know what we''re doing for period 4.

MY HYPOTHESIS

my hypothesis is,' adult inventors often invent more mechanical inventions, whilst child inventors invent more simple and less complicated inventions.
This is might be because of the education difference between adults and children, as adults might want to use the education that they have learned over the years to invent something more sophisticated. Children tend to invent things that are more useful to younger ages.
Why inventors invent?
Adults may invent things for money or to benefit society.
Children may invent things for their own use.

what am i going to do today

Today i want to research further about inventors (kid & adult), and start filling in my poster.

PRESENTING MY INFO

i have chosen to present my information in a poster.
i chose to present my information in a poster, because i think that it's more clear.

Thinking Hats

Red hat= I'm worried about the researching -- is it too much??
White hat= i have to find out more about child inventors as well as adult inventors.
Green hat= I could go to the library and check out a book about inventors. this could help me alot.
Yellow hat= I can find out different new info about inventors. good opportunity.
Black hat= We did the same thing in yr 6, but we didn't get to choose the topic. i find this inquiry topic not as exciting as the one in yr 6.
Blue hat= Today i want to research more about adult inventors.

plan for next lesson

Next session, i intend to start researching adult inventors. I most probably will research famous inventors, like the Wright brothers or something.

Coming up with my final question..

I've decided to expand on child inventors.
So I've come up with different possibilities that i could choose from:
Famous adult inventors ---compared to---> child inventors
OR
child inventors----compared to -------> normal kids
if i chose the first one, then it would be easier to compare as there would be more information that i could actually find out about. And also i could compare both sides of inventions with a survey.
but if i chose the second one, then i could talk about how their lives differ(if they do), and maybe how the child inventors were inspired and such.
I have chosen to choose the first one, because it may increase my knowledge of inventors.
So my question for the inquiry topic is, How do adult inventions differ to child-made inventions? (quality and useful wise + creative wise)

MY GOAL FOR TODAY

The goal that i want to achieve by the end of the day is to come up with a better phrased question.

Child inventors

Name
Invention Function

year age additional info

1. Does your question start with a how or a why (not a what?)

2. Look at Bloom’s taxonomy: which level do you think you will need to reach to complete your inquiry?

a. Why? i think that i will have to reach no. 6 - evaluation to complete my inquiry, because evaluation shows that you understand the topic that you have been researching.

c. If your inquiry only requires you to increase your Knowledge of your area, how could you change the question to allow you to move beyond just finding information?

Who are the child inventors?

What can i learn about Child Inventors??

I've chosen to do a different topic to guitar, because i already know alot about the guitar.

- good or bad..

TOPIC for project

For my Inquiry project, I chose to go with the topic, child inventors. I chose to go with this topic, because I want to know more about that topic.

help

Your journal is the ongoing record of all the work you do throughout you inquiry. You should be writing reflections that comment on the process and the progress that you are making as an individual and as a team. Each entry in your journal should include the following:1. Description of what happened at the mentor meeting (if you had one that day)2. Record goals/objectives for the upcoming week3. Any idea/action carried out4. Reflection on what you have done this weekUse the following as a guide for writing your reflections:- What did you do?- What did you think?- What didn't you do?... and what could or should you have done?- What decisions did you make as a group?- What did yo decide to change and what are the reasons for making the change?- Were there any problems? How did you deal with them? What did you learn about yourself? Which skills did you use well? (communication, social, thinking, research, self management?)- What made you happy, annoyed, frustrated, angry, nervous disappointed, proud...?- Where are you going next?
